About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Santa Ana at 401 S Main St, Lucky Guy's Burgers serves up a vibrant fusion of classic American comfort food and robust Mexican flavors, making it a must-visit spot for anyone craving satisfying, hearty meals. This unique hamburger and Mexican restaurant skillfully balances two beloved cuisines under one roof, delighting diners who appreciate variety without sacrificing quality.

The menu is a treasure trove of savory delights that appeal to a broad spectrum of palates. Signature offerings such as their juicy, perfectly seasoned cheeseburgers melt in your mouth, while their crispy, golden French fries complement each bite with a satisfying crunch. For those drawn to Mexican staples, the burritos — like the hearty Bean & Cheese or the flavorful Asada — deliver rich, authentic tastes for just under $13. Dinner options span from crispy golden fried chicken tenders and succulent shrimp baskets to classic fish & chips, each plate generously portioned and bursting with flavor.

The breakfast selections, including the impressive Pancake & Eggs Combo and the sizable breakfast burrito highlighted by a delighted customer who jokingly claimed it could “end world hunger,” add a welcoming morning appeal that’s hard to resist. The variety extends to menu staples such as club sandwiches and chili cheese fries, each thoughtfully prepared to capture both comfort and satisfaction.

Guests repeatedly praise the freshness and quality of the ingredients. For example, Kenneth Rose raves about the perfectly cooked, juicy burger patties, soft buns that hold all the flavors together, and fresh, generous toppings that make every bite a memorable experience. The fries, seasoned exquisitely and fried to a crisp golden perfection, are often singled out as the ideal accompaniment, with flavorful sauces that elevate the simple side to a whole new level.

The atmosphere at Lucky Guy’s Burgers enhances the overall experience with its clean, inviting environment — a fact noted with pleasure by longtime fan Bornny Roeum, who appreciated the well-kept space on a recent visit. V IMAGE Productions highlights the friendly service and the vibrant vibe, noting that the restaurant provides a convincing alternative to larger chains like In-N-Out, especially for those looking for a broader menu that includes more than just burgers.

Part of the charm here is how Lucky Guy’s Burgers manages to feel both familiar and exciting, satisfying the cravings of burger lovers and Mexican food enthusiasts alike. This dual-menu approach resonates well with couples and families with diverse tastes, as Jr. Velasquez expresses—his wife’s gratitude for a place that “works for both of us” speaks volumes about the thoughtfully curated menu and inviting ambiance.

Whether stopping by for a quick lunch, a leisurely dinner, or a hearty breakfast, Lucky Guy’s Burgers offers a genuine, flavorful experience that leaves customers eager to return. Their dedication to quality, variety, and comfort makes this Santa Ana gem a standout destination for those who appreciate hearty, well-crafted meals served in a welcoming setting.

For a taste that bridges the best of American and Mexican traditions and an atmosphere that welcomes all, Lucky Guy’s Burgers is a delicious discovery you won’t want to miss.

Great fish sandwich and very large breakfast burrito. I think those could end world hunger. We loved it.

This place is damn amazing. My wife said, "we have always wanted a place that works for both of us" She said that because they have both burgers and Mexican food. Everything on the menu is delicious. We would come here as regulars if this place was close to home!!

Absolutely delicious! Lucky Guy's Burgers is hands down one of the best burger joints I've been to! The patties are juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The buns are soft yet hold everything together perfectly, and the toppings are always fresh and generous. Their fries are crispy and golden, and the sauces — especially their house special — take everything to the next level. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the vibe of the place is relaxed and welcoming. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or dining in with family or friends, Lucky Guy's Burgers is a must-try. Highly recommended!

I haven't been to Lucky Guy's Burgers in nearly a decade, so it's been a while. The place looks clean and well kept. Price went up a bit, but that is to be expected due to inflation. Order the spicy chicken sandwich and fish sandwich for my brother. When I ordered the fish dinner, I couldn't exactly hear what other type of sauce there was beside ranch, which stood out more... I wish I could see what type of sauce they had. The ONLY disappointment I would say is that when I ordered my Chili Cheese Fries, there was a deal that it was supposed to come with a free drink... I ordered a coke... I NEVER GOT MY DRINK. I realized that when I was driving home. The food is good, I'm just disappointed I never got my drink.

Burger is good, fries are seasoned well, atmosphere is great! Definitely better than going to In and Out. Great service and more than just burgers on the menu! This place will certainly satisfy a burger craving

I like it here because it's one of the places you can still get an old school cheeseburger special with chili cheese pastrami fries and it taste great. The tacos are good the pastrami is awesome and the service is top notch. This is our go to spot for a great burger.
